No. While Spout harvests the humidity in the air, a change in air quality is not typically noticeable in the average home.
You can remove the tank by lifting the plastic cylinder above the tank straight up and inch or two, then tilting the top of the tank toward you till it comes out. It’s a bit of a tight fit, but it should work! Or you can lift the tank straight up, then swing the bottom of the tank out toward you. When you replace the tank, make sure you push it down hard, so the orange ring on the bottom is visibly lifted off the bottom of the tank.
Follow the instructions to remove the tank, then gently clean the inside and rinse thoroughly before putting the tank back into place.
Yes, we recommend that you do this. Your Spout will automatically turn off once the tank is full, but as a general rule, we recommend turning off appliances when leaving town.
No. Your Spout has a custom air filter that will remove all aromas as well as pollutants in the air, leaving you with clean fresh tasting drinking water every time.
Spout works in any climate where there is at least 20% humidity. That’s just about everywhere in the United States and in over 80% of the rest of the world.
The water Spout produces has been tested many many times by third party water testing centers. It’s highly pure and free of contaminants. On average, the water from your Spout is of a higher quality than filtered tap water and nearly every bottled water brand on the shelf.
"Alkaline water has a higher pH level than that of plain tap water. So proponents say that it can neutralize acid in your bloodstream. Some say that alkaline water can help prevent disease, such as cancer and heart disease. However, more research is needed to verify these claims.
Some studies also suggest that alkaline water might help slow bone loss. But further studies are needed to find out if it influences overall bone mineral density and if the benefit continues over the long term.”
